What is Rash?
Rashes are rashes that occur as a result of clogging of sweat glands from heat. It is very common in summer and especially in small babies. While mild rash is seen as small and exploding blisters, in severe form it appears as red itchy blistering lesions. Sometimes even a tingling and itching sensation may occur. If the rash in infants is not taken and treated appropriately, skin infection and crusting may develop along with itching.

While rash can be seen at almost any age, it is more common in infants, especially because the sweat glands of small babies are easily clogged. It is more common in areas of the body where sweaty head, neck and skin folds are present. In small babies with diaper rash, rash is common around the waist and navel. Normally, a rash does not harm babies, but it can be itchy and uncomfortable. Also, having a rash is an indication that your baby is overheating. Therefore, care must be taken in terms of heat stroke.

How Does a Rash in Babies Pass?
Keep your baby as cool as possible. If necessary, use a fan or air conditioner as appropriate. But do not put your baby directly under the air conditioner. When you go outside, try to stay in the shade. When traveling by car, make sure to operate the air conditioner properly.
If you are using slings or kangaroos to hug your baby, take a break.
Dress your baby in comfortable clothes that are not thin and tight. Prefer clothes that absorb sweat, especially cotton, never use synthetic products.
Wash your baby with warm water only, without soap, every day or even 1-2 times a day. Even let him play with his toys for a while in a tiny inflatable pool.
If you are on vacation, make sure you swim and take a shower often.
Wash the skin folds under the neck, groin, etc. frequently with cool water because of excessive sweating and dry thoroughly.
Never use powders, baby oil and intense moisturizers that aggravate the rash by clogging the pores in the skin.
During the day, take off his clothes and even his diaper and let him cool down, change his diaper often.
When sweating, try to wipe it off with a cotton towel without irritating it.
