In addition, one of the most common causes of accidents experienced by babies is the use of walkers. After all, should we use a walker? Is the walker safe? The answer to such questions is of course no.
Do not use a walker.

Drawbacks of Using a Walker
Babies get to know their environment by interacting. He sees, hands, feels, rolls, imitates his surroundings. Babies who use a walker, on the other hand, cannot learn how to use it because they cannot see the lower part of their body. Due to the walker wheels, it transforms the smallest foot movements of babies into an exaggerated shape. This causes the baby to rock on the walker rather than walking.
Babies who walk using a walker cannot develop the hip and joint coordination used during real walking. The use of a walker delays the motor development that should be done in the normal development process in babies and causes disorders such as spine, hip and fingertip walking. Instead of making walking easier, it may make walking difficult or even delaying it.
Walkers are on wheels and move very quickly. Since your baby moves faster than your baby does, your baby has difficulty in balancing and developing.
Many babies who use walkers suffer from household accidents, as it allows the baby to have access to the environment. Some of these accidents can even be fatal. It can pull heavy objects and drop them on its head, reaching hot food, drinks and toxic substances. It can cause falls and suffocation. There is also a risk of falling if you have stairs in your home.
Head trauma is very common in walker accidents. It has been observed that 82% of babies have head trauma in accidents with walkers, since the skull bones are soft in babies who have not completed their brain development.
For these reasons, do not use a walker. Maybe you could use stationary activity centers that look like walkers but don't have wheels. But it's best for your baby to spend time on the floor. When your baby's legs are ready, he will already stand up and walk.
